Design and Display:
Honor 8 is a very well designed phone you can look for. The phone is made
of premium material like Glass on the back with somewhat mirror finish and Metal
on the sides. On the front of the device sits a 5.2 inch Full HD (1920x1080
pixels) display that gives a total pixel density of 424PPI which sounds to be
very crisp. Unfortunately, there is no Gorilla Glass protection.
Hardware and Features:
The device sports a
1.8GHz HiSilicon Kirin 950 Octa Core chipset with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU which is
quite impressive and made by Huawei themselves. Along with the processor you
also get 4GB
of RAM which sounds good enough to handle multitasking smoothly. Huawei
Honor 8's operating system is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and
it being a flagship device we expect it to receive Android Nougat update soon.
The phone has also got a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device for that
additional level of security.
Camera and Storage:
Rear of the Huawei
Honor 8 features a 12MP camera sensor that can record videos
up to 1080p and lacks 4K recording capability. Rear camera also features Laser
Autofocus and a Dual LED Flash. On the front and above the display you will
find a 8MP
selfie and video calling camera which should do a fair job at it. On
the storage front the phone houses 32GB of onboard storage and that is further
expandable up to 128GB via a MicroSD card.
Battery and Connectivity:
To power the Honor
8 we get 3000mAh
battery unit sealed inside the device which does support fast charging
but lacks wireless charging. The phone accepts dual nano SIMs and it also
supports 4G LTE networks in India. Besides, you also get standard Bluetooth,
WiFi and NFC connectivity options.
